Honors Academy Courses

Students accepted into the Honors Academy will be enrolled in a core curriculum that will serve as the common foundation for the Honors Academy.  

FRESHMAN YEAR

Honors Biology

Honors Freshmen English

Honors Algebra 1

Honors Geometry

Honors World History

Physical Education

World Language (French, Latin or Spanish)

Elective (Music, Art, etc.)

SOPHOMORE YEAR

AP Environmental Science, or AP Biology and PreAP Chemistry

Honors Sophomore English

Honors Common Core Algebra 2

Honors US History

World Language (French, Latin or Spanish)

or

Elective (e.g. Music, Art, etc)

Health or Elective

JUNIOR YEAR

AP English Language

HA PreCalculus or AP Statistics

Honors Physics, PreAP Chemistry, or an AP Science Course

AP US History or HA Dual Enrollment History with FSU

AP Learning Lab - suggested but not required.

SENIOR YEAR

AP English Lit

AP Statistics or AP Calculus

Honors Physics, PreAP Chemistry or an AP Science Course

AP US Government

AP Learning Lab - suggested but not required

Note: Overall, students must maintain their core courses (English, Math, Science and History) at the Honors level or higher,  complete an AP course in the core, and maintain an overall weighted 3.50 GPA on 4.0 Scale.
